Expos Get Close Win Over Hermit Crabs, 3-2
|
Logan Waycott, who is tied for 4th in the 3A in strikeouts with 31, pitched well, but the Huntington Hermit Crabs still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. Ahamyati Tikku got the save, the 1st for him this season. Niagara Falls is now 11-13. Huntington is 14-10.
Niagara Falls went up, 3-2, on Francisco Fermin's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Fermin hit in the bottom of the eighth, victimized Huntington pitcher Logan Waycott.
"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Huntington manager Vincent Cruz. "We just didn't cash in."
