Late Rally by Cangrejos Fantasmas Secures 5-3 Win
|
The Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas took Crescent City pitcher Bill Darcy's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ghost Crab Park. The final score had Chesapeake getting past the Krewe, 5-3. Darcy went 7 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 7. The win gives Chesapeake a season record of 60-37.
Christian McFarland hit a grand slam home run off Will Gordon in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Cangrejos Fantasmas ahead, 5-3. In addition to the homer, McFarland had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said McFarland.
