Bullets Lose By a Run at Toronto
|
Fans watched the Toronto Thunder and the Baltimore Bullets fight to the finish.
The inspired effort of Baltimore catcher Arturo Prado was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Toronto Thunder. Prado was 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bill Ramírez earned his 1st save in 3 chances.
Toronto took a 5-4 lead on Lance Slaymaker's 13th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Slaymaker hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Baltimore pitcher Jorge Cabral visibly frustrated.
Slaymaker told reporters after the game: "Took some doing, but we got it done."
The win gives Toronto a season record of 53-50.
