Screaming Eagles Beat Eclipse, 5-2
The Northville Eclipse got a superb performance from pitcher John Williams. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Mercer Island. The Screaming Eagles won the game, 5-2. Williams threw 6.1 innings of 1-hit ball. The third-place Screaming Eagles have a record of 57-41.

Had Will Johnson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Johnson hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Screaming Eagles.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Mercer Island manager Ricardo Vargas. "It's usually not just one thing."
