Ithaca pitcher Benny Carr did his part in helping his team beat the Bethesda Atoms, 7-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Ithaca reliever Benny Carr picked up the win. Anthony Samuels took the loss for Bethesda. The Fighting Imps now have a record of 45-53.

Kidlat Pimentel had a big 2-run double for the Fighting Imps in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Ithaca leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Anthony Samuels and swatted a double to right. It was his 29th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fighting Imps ahead, 4-1.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Pimentel. "You've got to get results."
