Vancouver pitcher Sergio Pagán did his part in helping his team defeat the Arizona Javelina, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Pagán got the win, improving to 7-5. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run. Bill Carson earned the save for Vancouver, his 13th.
Oliver Garden, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in doubles with 21, chipped in a 2-run home run for Vancouver in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
