The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis downed the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 13-4, at Heron Field. The Mariachis were led by Sherman Moore. Moore went 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Alberto Martínez picked up the win, lifting his record to 8-0 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 1 in 5 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Luis García, who is tied for 9th in the PAA in holds with 5, nailed down the save.

Nuevo Mexico used a well-timed hit by Markus Lund to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Mariachis ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Moore, "and then get after it again."

Nuevo Mexico is now 56-43.
