Screaming Eagles Squelch Ogres Offense in Shutout Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles and the Olympia Ogres, 26-year old right-handed pitcher Rick Burnett was the difference-maker. The Mercer Island right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. The Screaming Eagles raised their record to 61-38.

Ángel Soto had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Mercer Island. He came through with a 2-run double to put Mercer Island in front, 3-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Dale O'Sullivan.
