The Ithaca Fighting Imps beat the Bethesda Atoms by a score of 4-2. Ithaca center fielder Mike Hancock deserved the lion's share of the credit. Hancock went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks for the Fighting Imps. Yuk Yan wrapped it up, recording his 7th save. Ithaca goes to 46-53, Bethesda to 43-56.
Kidlat Pimentel drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances. He drove in 2 runs for Ithaca. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Vic Hanson. It was his 55th RBI of the season.
"Mike is still learning," said Fighting Imps manager Jeffrey Lewis. "The sky's the limit for him."
