Thunder Earn 4-3 Win Against Highlanders
|
Domingo Segura helped his team muscle past the Asheville Highlanders, 4-3. In the game, the St. Petersburg first baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. St. Petersburg reliever Albert Silver picked up the win to move to 5-2. Rob Sawyer suffered the loss. The triumph makes St. Petersburg 32-67.
The Thunder relied on left fielder Patrick Mathis for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Segura said.
