Fighting Imps Take Tight Tangle
|
The Ithaca Fighting Imps picked up a win at Imps Park, taking down the Providence Pilgrims, 5-4. Starting pitcher José Carmona was a big reason why. At 47-53, the Fighting Imps claim 7th place in the Premier AA.
Mike Brown helped out the Ithaca cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-4 with a walk.
"We ground out the win," said Carmona. "That's all that matters."
