Webb Excels, But Mariachis Win
Gulf Coast catcher Jacob Webb had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Webb belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, even as Nuevo Mexico beat the Turbeaus, 9-6. Victor Collins picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 8 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 3-2. Getting the save was Greg Kirkpatrick, his 12th.

Nuevo Mexico took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Craig Webb hit a 2-run single to make it 7-5, Mariachis.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Webb.

The current losing streak for Gulf Coast has reached 5 games.
