Rocky Mountain and Idaho Falls duked it out and the Vibes came out victorious.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Rocky Mountain Vibes and the Idaho Falls Chukars, Tim Day was the difference-maker. The Rocky Mountain right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Their 12-15 record puts the Vibes 7th in the Menard's A.
Day, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 14 in 8 innings and gave up no runs.
Day, who is tied for 10th in the 3A in innings pitched with 33.2, moves to 3-1 on the year with 53 strikeouts.
In comments to the Rocky Mountain Herald, Day admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
