The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis went home winners at Ghost Crab Park, thanks in large part to starter David O'Halloran. O'Halloran stifled the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, enabling Nuevo Mexico to grab the 2-1 win. Luis García, 5-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The win gives Nuevo Mexico a season record of 57-44.

Santiago Ybarra had a direct impact on the outcome. Ybarra contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Nuevo Mexico up, 1-0.
