The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis got a good effort from starter Bob Ward in defeating the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas at Ghost Crab Park. The final score was 5-2. The Mariachis, at 49-52, sit in 5th place in the Premier AA.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Edmund Hall? The Nuevo Mexico shortstop had a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Mariachis on top, 1-0. For the game, Hall had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Nuevo Mexico skipper Andrés Ventura.
