The Matlacha Manatees, behind a great outing from Yi-da Gui defeated the Niagara Falls Expos, 2-1, at Waterfall Park. The winning pitcher was Gui, now 1-3. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. The Manatees win now puts them at 12-15.

Matlacha used the clutch hitting of Carlos Tibrcio to capture the win. The catcher drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Manatees the lead, 2-1. For the game, Tibrcio had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.

"We found a way to get it done," Tibrcio said.
