Gallos Use Late Surge to Win
The Delmarva Gallos knocked off the Idaho Falls Chukars, 8-5, at Idaho Falls Park. Jimmy Conner hit 3 singles and 1 double, while driving in 4 runs. Giel van der Zande earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 2-1. Charles Covenay recorded the save, his 5th.

Delmarva used the timely hitting of Jacob Munn to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Gallos on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Munn said. "We did a good job of that today."

With the win over Idaho Falls, the Gallos improved to 18-9.
