The Crescent City Krewe beat the Olympia Ogres, 5-3. Crescent City pitcher and Koror, Palau, native Paikea Hotu led the way. Diego Ramírez recorded his 14th save for Crescent City. The 6th-place Ogres now sit at 50-51.
Luis Antonio Rivas didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to put Crescent City on top, 1-0.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Rivas said in reaction to the win.
