The Arizona Javelina topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles by a score of 6-5. Leading the way was designated hitter Ernie Jamieson. Jamieson was 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Javelina. Marko Tapaninen earned his 19th save in 25 chances. Arizona took a 6-4 lead on Jamieson's 11th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Ken Johnston in the top of the seventh, propelled Arizona to the win.
