Dominant Performance by McKinney in Newmarket Win

Newmarket Rogues starter Dave McKinney pitched a strong game against the Washington Generals at Rogues Stadium, leading the Rogues to victory, 2-0. Brian Rice closed it out for his 1st save. With the win, Newmarket raised its record to 16-12.
McKinney made it look easy. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 2-1.
"That's how you're going to be successful," said Rogues manager Clay Myers. "It starts with pitching and it will always be pitching."
