Krewe Get One-Run Win at Olympia
|
The Crescent City Krewe took Olympia pitcher Curt Case's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Ogre Den. The final score had Crescent City getting past the Ogres, 4-3. Case went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. The Krewe, at 54-48, have now won 4 straight.
Crescent City needed the clutch hitting of Ed Steele to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Krewe on top, 4-1. For the game, Steele had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Olympia manager Andrés Gonzáles.
