The Bethesda Atoms did just enough to secure a victory over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 5-4, in 10 innings at Mercer Island Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Luis Yánez. The Atoms have now won 4 straight.

Jeffrey Whittier cracked a home run off Jeremy Bush in the top of the second. His 2-run blast put the Atoms on top, 3-1. In all, Whittier had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
