Carlos Rivera impressed in the 8-2 Boston win over Buffalo. Rivera, who finished 3rd in the PL in wins above replacement with 4.4 in 2048, belted 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Tai sun Rang got the win, improving to 2-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Chris Logan earned his 6th save in 9 tries.
With Boston leading 5-2 in the top of the ninth, Rivera hit a fastball from David O'Farrell for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Patriots ahead, 8-2.
Rivera attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Boston now has a record of 61-43 with the win.
