Behind an impressive start by Gerald Mathews, Mancelona beat Belleville, 5-2. Wesley Edwards snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Scott White suffered the loss. The Torch raised their record to 16-16.
Leonardo Muraro was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs for Mancelona. The 21-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Scott White. It was his 4th walk of the season.
Muraro attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
