Bush Pilots Win at Matlacha, 4-3
|
The Alaskan Bush Pilots and Matlacha Manatees played an entertaining game for Fuller Park patrons.
José Abonga, who is tied for 5th in the 3A in strikeouts with 40, was locked in. The left-hander led the Alaskan Bush Pilots to a 4-3 win against the Matlacha Manatees at Fuller Park. Richie Davis earned the save for Alaskan, his 5th of the year.
Brian Wolf, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2059 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Wolf contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Alaskan up, 4-1.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Matlacha manager Howard Lee.
The victory gives Alaskan a record of 19-15.
