The Hollywood Shredders earned a close win over the Seattle Rocketeers, thanks in part to Bob Kelso. The Hollywood left-hander, who finished 4th in the PL in innings pitched with 145.2 in 2056, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Kelso yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 8-9. Hollywood has now won 4 games in a row.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Shredders had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when designated hitter Tyler Adams hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Manuel Bernal and made the score 1-0, Shredders. Adams was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Bob has got a slow heartbeat," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese. "He doesn't panic or anything."
