Manatees Get Clutch Win Versus Alaskan
|
The Alaskan Bush Pilots got a sterling performance from pitcher Jesse Carter, but the Matlacha Manatees still prevailed, 4-3. Carter threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The save went to Andrew Thomas, number 1 for him. Matlacha bumps their record to 15-21 with the win.
Matlacha went up, 4-3, on Zhang Huang's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Huang hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Alaskan pitcher Yin-reng Guo muttering to himself.
"We were the better team," crowed Huang.
