Thunder Rally Late to Nip Bullets
|
Obke Veenman did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Baltimore Bullets from being beaten, 5-4, to the Toronto Thunder at Thunder Field. Veenman slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Toronto reliever Dong-hoon An got the win, raising his record to 10-4. Alfonso Crisci was tagged with the loss. The losing skid has reached 6 games for Baltimore.
Michael Barry played the role of hero for Toronto. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 2-run home run off Alfonso Crisci to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Barry said.
