Sosa Lifts Expos to 10-6 Win
|
The Niagara Falls Expos defeated the Idaho Falls Chukars, 10-6. Doing his part was second baseman Brandon Sosa, who was 4-5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Chris Beatty earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. HorĂ¡cio Kaisin earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game.
In the top of the first, Paul Richardson pounced on a curveball from Earnest McClure and hit a 2-run single. It gave Niagara Falls a quick 2-0 lead.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Expos manager Joe Gregory.
The Expos go to 21-17, putting them third in the Menard's A.
