Small K's 11 En Route to 5-0 Bulls Win
|
The Belleville Bulls picked up a win at Belleville Field, downing the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 5-0. On the mound for Belleville was right-hander Edward Small, who played a pivotal role in the win. Belleville now has a record of 20-20 with the win.
The Bulls liked what they saw from Small. The 22-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Commodores to no runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, and striking out 11.
"I had a good game plan," said Small. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Rafael Avelar said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
