Hawks Suffer 3-1 Setback
|
In a tight tilt between the Niagara Falls Expos and the Laredo Hawks, Folkert Spoelstra was the deciding factor. The Niagara Falls right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. José Machado was called on to finish, recording his 4th save. Niagara Falls is now 26-16, while Laredo is 21-21.
The Expos had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Niagara Falls, with one out. Laredo, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Eduardo Yan dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 changeup, he struck out.
