Hawks Earn 5-1 Home Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Matlacha Manatees and Laredo Hawks get after it.
Laredo Hawks starter Tong-yeop Kim turned in an exceptional performance against the Matlacha Manatees at Hawks Field, resulting in a Laredo win, 5-1. The win lifted the Laredo record to 22-21.
Anamol Vishwamber went 2-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Laredo. The 24-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Chris Hamm. It was his 15th hit of the season.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Howard Lee.
