Generals Win 3-1 Walk-Off

The Washington Generals earned a close win over the Belleville Bulls, thanks in part to Pedro Rodríguez. The Washington left-hander played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Washington reliever Mike Mayfield snagged the win, upping his record to 2-4. Scott Bates shouldered the loss. The win gives the Generals a record of 15-28.
Washington got a knockout punch from Alberto Ortíz. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Ortíz.
