Yang Slugs Hawks to 8-2 Win
Laredo right fielder I-tsing Yang made his presence felt in the 8-2 Hawks triumph over the Rocky Mountain Vibes. Yang went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Ted Green, who is tied for 2nd in the 3A in wins with 5, was the winning pitcher. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. With the victory, the Hawks upped their record to 28-15.

With Laredo leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Yang hit a knuckle curve from Justin MacBurie for a grand slam home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Hawks ahead, 6-0.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Laredo skipper José Gato.
