The Toledo Stingers took Memphis pitcher Noud Taaij's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Magnolia Park. The final score had Toledo getting past the Mockingbirds, 3-2. Taaij went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 6. The Stingers, at 62-43, lead by one game in their division.

David Ruíz, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2057 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ruíz contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Toledo up, 3-2.

"Not enough offensively in a winnable game," said losing manager Beau Carsten.
