Manatees Fall Short, 5-4, at Alaskan
|
The Alaskan Bush Pilots scored a tight, 5-4 win versus the Matlacha Manatees at Bush Pilots Park. Alaskan pitcher León Berroa held his own in the contest. The Bush Pilots, at 28-16, sit in second place in the Menard's A.
The Bush Pilots got a big boost from second baseman Richard Murray who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Manatees hurler William Morris. It was his 37th walk of the season and put Alaskan on top, 1-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Murray told the Alaskan Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
