Chukars Winners, 3-2, Over Walleye

Fans watched the Idaho Falls Chukars and the Walla Walla Walleye fight to the finish.
Starting pitcher Allan Novillo gave the Idaho Falls Chukars a rock-solid effort. The Puerto Princesa, Philippines native helped his team defeat the Walla Walla Walleye, 3-2, at Walleye Tank. The winning pitcher was Novillo, now 4-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 8. Mario Happ earned the save for Idaho Falls, his 5th of the year.
Mickael Leconte had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for Idaho Falls. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Idaho Falls in front, 3-0.
"We squandered some opportunities," said Walla Walla manager Félix Cruz.
Idaho Falls, at 22-22, occupies 6th place in the Menard's A.
