|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 23-year old center fielder Jeff Huffman, the Laredo Hawks stopped the Matlacha Manatees, 7-2, in 9 innings. Matlacha, at 19-26, has lost 4 straight.
Laredo took a 7-2 lead on Huffman's 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Fridon Zaminian in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Laredo to the win.
"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Huffman.
