Generals Pick Up 4-3 Win Against Caldwell
|
The Washington Generals topped the Caldwell Chiefs, 4-3, in M3L Single A action at Washington Park. The standout performance belonged to Washington pitcher and Bangao, Philippines, native Raph Liberato. Pedro Puglisi recorded the save, his 2nd. At 18-27, the Generals claim 10th place in the Menard's A.
The Generals got an important contribution from left fielder Iestyn Tuxford, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a slider to center for a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Generals ahead, 4-0.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Liberato.
