Waterfall Park was the site of a tense game between the Niagara Falls Expos and Belleville Bulls.

Belleville right-hander Donald Hamm helped his team edge Niagara Falls by the score of 3-2. Hamm kept the opposing lineup in check. Jimmy Jeffries got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Getting the save was Francisco Valenzuela, his 14th.

Belleville used the timely hitting of Ánibal Córdova to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bulls on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Belleville manager Rafael Avelar said.

The loss makes Niagara Falls 25-20.
