Chukars Walk It Off for 28th Win of Season
|
The Idaho Falls Chukars did just enough to secure a victory over the Pontiac Godfathers, 4-3, in 10 innings at Idaho Falls Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Wilson Phillips. The win went to Tomás Navarro in relief, making him now 1-1. Christian Williams took the loss for Pontiac. The setback makes Pontiac 26-19.
The Chukars procured the win, in large part because of right fielder António Medina. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Nothing fazes Wilson," said Idaho Falls manager Robby Long.
