|
Manny Cruz pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Alameda Airmen, despite Cruz's fine outing, dropped a 3-0 decision to the Belleville Bulls at Belleville Field. Stéphane Huguet earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Belleville has rattled off 5 straight wins.
Jessie Brooks hit a run-scoring double off Manny Cruz in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Bulls in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Brooks had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.
