Walla Walla Loses, 7-3, to Niagara Falls in 10
|
Behind a fine performance from Masami Kouno, the Niagara Falls Expos knocked off the Walla Walla Walleye in 10 innings, 7-3. Kouno was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Expos. The win puts Niagara Falls at 29-21 this season.
Kouno had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from Edgardo Cuellar, he banged a 2-run double to left-center, giving the Expos a 5-3 lead. It was the 7th double of the year for Kouno.
"Took some scratching and clawing," said Kouno. "But we got it done."
