Juan Gonzáles powered the Pontiac Godfathers to a win over the Columbia River Rats. The final score was 11-4. The Pontiac left fielder was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The third-place Godfathers have won 4 consecutive games.

The River Rats had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Godfathers going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old first baseman Richard Farley came to the plate. Farley hit a 3-run home run on a first pitch cutter from Columbia hurler Scott Hall. It was Farley's 1st home run of the year.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Gonzáles.
