Thrilling Victory Pushes Chukars Win Streak to 8
The Put-In-Bay Commodores could not turn a fine performance from pitcher John Farmer into a win. Instead, the Idaho Falls Chukars prevailed, 5-3. Farmer threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The winner in relief was Alistair Mossop. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 2-1. The save went to Álex Tobías, number 13 for him.

Idaho Falls relied on the bat of John Blankenburg to get the win. The first baseman produced a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Chukars ahead, 4-3. For the game, Blankenburg had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We'll keep riding this wave," said Blankenburg.

The Chukars improved to a lofty 35-15.
