The Matlacha Manatees banked on Andre Maccley and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Caldwell hitters in check. The final score was 3-1, Manatees. The winning pitcher was Maccley, now 2-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 6. The save was credited to Jerry Bower, his 5th.
The Manatees got an important contribution from catcher Matt Jones, who in the bottom of the second hit a fastball to left for a run-scoring double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Manatees ahead, 2-0.
