Hawks Need Extra Frames to Get Past Bush Pilots
|
The Laredo Hawks scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Alaskan Bush Pilots at Hawks Field. Laredo pitcher Randy Bender held his own in the contest. Laredo has now won 3 in a row.
The Hawks got a clutch hit from left fielder Wibowo Alatas. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hawks.
"Randy was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Laredo manager José Gato.
