The Matlacha Manatees got a stellar performance from pitcher Bob Smithley, who handcuffed the Huntington offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Fuller Park. Frederick Anderson recorded the save, his 12th. With the win, the Manatees have a record of 30-23.

Freddie Goodman hit a 2-run home run off Randy Pierce in the bottom of the first, which put the Manatees ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Goodman had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
