The Yucca Valley Yellows topped the Pontiac Godfathers, 6-1, in M3L Single A action at Pontiac Copperdome. The standout performance belonged to Yucca Valley pitcher and Hsinchu, Taiwan, native Wen Bao. Bao, the winner, moves to 6-2. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 1 walk. With the win over Pontiac, the Yellows improved to 23-31.

In the top of the sixth, with Yucca Valley leading 4-1, Juan Páez hit a fastball from Minoru Sakata for a 2-run single, giving the Yellows the lead, 6-1.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Páez told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
