Bulls Capture Close Win
|
The Belleville Bulls picked up a win at Belleville Field, downing the Matlacha Manatees, 3-2. On the mound for Belleville was right-hander Donald Hamm, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the victory, the Bulls upped their record to 30-25.
Chris Bursey chipped in for Belleville, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Matlacha skipper Howard Lee.
