White Walkers Suffer 7-3 Road Loss
|
The New Orleans Voodoo downed the Buffalo White Walkers, 7-3, at The Voodoo Lounge. Les Moore led the way, going 3-for-4 for New Orleans. Victor Howell, 4-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. With the win, New Orleans pushed its record to 61-46.
New Orleans shortstop Danilo Somera contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 84th hit of the season and put the Voodoo ahead, 2-0.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Moore told the New Orleans Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
