|
The Walla Walla Walleye wiggled past the Washington Generals, 4-3, at Washington Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Walla Walla pitcher Billy Warren. The winner was Walla Walla reliever Edgardo Cuellar, now 2-1. The loser was Ed Cook. Walla Walla, now 30-26, holds down 6th place in the Menard's A.
The most important at-bat for Walla Walla came in the top of the tenth inning, when third baseman Derek Zoolander stroked a 0-1 fastball to left for a run-scoring single, putting Walla Walla up, 4-3.
"Billy was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Walla Walla manager Félix Cruz.
