The Idaho Falls Chukars knocked off the Matlacha Manatees, 6-3, in M3L Single A action at Idaho Falls Park. Idaho Falls pitcher and Wichita, Kansas, native Tony Pilcher had an outstanding performance. Álex Tobías earned save number 16 this season. Idaho Falls leads the Menard's A by 2 games.

The Manatees had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Chukars going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old shortstop Luis Gutiérrez came to the plate. Gutiérrez hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 changeup from Matlacha hurler Jerry Scott. It was Gutiérrez's 2nd home run of the year.

"It's good to win," Pilcher told the Idaho Falls Daily. "I like to have fun doing it."
